STR Restohaus Ltd specialises in the restoration and refinishing of classic and retro vehicles with our core work focussing on German manufacturers, BMW, Mercedes, VW
From bare metal bodywork and fabrication to full resprays and OEM-correct finishes, we aim to deliver a finished article that as a minimum matches your visions and expectations for your vehicle, whether it’s a full restoration or minor repairs.

Restoration levels
Every STR Restohaus project is tailored to the customer’s requirements, with varying levels of restoration available depending on intended use, originality and scope of work. A vehicle assessment allows us to provide you with the level required to meet your expectations.
Preservation RESTORATION
A comprehensive restoration undertaken from a stripped shell. This includes structural inspection, fabrication work and refinishing using NOVOL for classic car’s 7 stage process to return the vehicle to factory standard. We have a vast knowledge of these products and is a process we stick to. This is a labour intense and material consuming process. Each stage needs to be meticulously prepped before the next. The end result stands above the levels of that which cuts out processes and prep time.
External OEM spec restoration
An external bare metal repaint of the body shell, panels and door shuts. This is ideal for vehicles that are structurally solid on the underside and internally or for vehicles where the external material build up from multiple repairs and paintwork are showing defects such as sinkage, micro blistering, lacquer crazing, delamination. The NOVOL for classic car’s 7 stage process is still recommended but can be tailored to meet the customers needs.
Bespoke refinishing
A customer-led repaint and refinishing service designed to improve or refresh the vehicle’s external appearance, with scope for sympathetic upgrades in coatings or finish where required. This process is aimed at more modern vehicles that have not been subjected to multiple historical repairs and a customer understanding the limitations of this process. The emphasis is more on the customer than the vehicle.
